Cookies
Daily Champ sets two cookies. Both exist to keep you signed in and the app working. Neither identifies you to anyone else, and there is no analytics, advertising or tracking cookie of any kind. That is why the notice at the bottom of the screen only tells you: nothing here needs your consent, so there is nothing to accept or refuse.
The two cookies
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
session_token |
Proves it is you after you sign in with a code. Signed, and unreadable to scripts on the page. | Until you sign out, or 30 days after you last used the app, whichever comes first. |
_daily_champ_rails_session |
Remembers the email you typed while you enter your sign-in code, which workspace you switched to, where to send you back after signing in, and a token that stops other sites submitting forms as you. | Until you close the browser. |
When Daily Champ is shown inside another site of yours, both cookies are marked so the browser sends them inside that frame. They still go only to Daily Champ.
Stored in your browser, not sent to us
- Your light or dark theme choice.
- Copies of the app's pages and styles, so it opens offline.
- If you turned on reminders: the browser's own subscription for them.
None of this leaves your device. Clearing site data for Daily Champ in your browser removes all of it, along with the two cookies, and signs you out.
Other companies' cookies
None on our pages. Paying for Pro takes you to a page run by Stripe, which sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
